After a lengthy lull, PS Plus Premium members finally have free full game trials that are worth checking out. PS5 players have two new RPGs to try, one of which is inspired by fairytale adventures and the other is a new entry in a long-running series.

Released in January 2026 on the PS5, Escape from Ever After has fairytale and storybook characters fighting against capitalism. It’s a vibrant, lighthearted game that Premium subscribers can try for one hour.
“When Flynt Buckler, a classic fairytale adventurer, storms the castle of his evil dragon arch-nemesis Tinder, he finds the once intimidating fortress has been converted into… corporate offices?” a synopsis reads. “The villainous dragon is nowhere to be found and her castle is full of mindless coffee-sipping, report-filing drones. What happened?”
The second new game trial is Pathologic 3, the January 2026 third entry in the 21-year-old Russian RPG series. Premium subscribers have access to a four-hour trial.
“Bachelor Daniil Dankovsky is a young doctor from the capital. His search for the secret of immortality brings him to a remote town, gripped by a mysterious plague that will destroy it in 12 days,” reads a PS Store description. “Now it’s up to him to explore the town itself, its past, present, and future — to find answers to his numerous questions and try to stop the relentless epidemic.”
