It looks like PS Plus Premium and Deluxe users will get more than one classic game in October 2025 despite the announcement of only one. During the September PlayStation State of Play, Sony revealed Tomb Raider: Anniversary as one of the upcoming PS Plus classics, and a reliable leaker confirmed that the game is included in this month’s catalog refresh. That leak appears to be correct.
Why didn’t Sony announce Tomb Raider: Anniversary as PS Plus Premium / Deluxe game for October?
Over on Reddit, players have pointed out that Tomb Raider: Anniversary’s PS Store listing displays a release date of October 21, which is when the next set of PS Plus Extra and Premium games will go live. Since Sony has confirmed the game’s inclusion in the catalog, we’re not quite sure why it was left out of the PS Blog announcement.
We’ve seen the listing ourselves and can confirm that it displays the aforementioned release date at the time of this writing.
Some players think that the announcement was supposed to be made during Tomb Raider’s 29th anniversary next week, but the PS Store blooper ended up ruining the surprise drop. We’re leaning towards this theory ourselves.
We’ll update our readers when we have more information.
