After the remake was canceled last January, fans of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time were left in the lurch. That being said, they’re getting a small consolation prize later this year.
In fact, as part of its 25th-anniversary celebrations, Xbox plans to fully relaunch its backward compatibility program. As a result, new Xbox and Xbox 360 titles will become backward compatible very soon. Some of them have even briefly appeared on Microsoft’s online store.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is, of course, among the titles in question. Released in 2003, this absolutely iconic platformer will soon be playable on current-generation Xbox consoles.
