A popular PlayStation 5 action game has surprisingly dropped a brand new edition, along with an update, on the PS Store today.

Super Evil Megacorp has announced that, in celebration of the game’s third anniversary, it is releasing a special TMNT: Splintered Fate update, as well as a new edition of the game allowing fans to check out everything the roguelike brawler has to offer.
TMNT: Splintered Fate’s Gold Edition contains the base game, as well as all three DLCs (Casey Jones & the Junkyard Jam, Metalhead, and Alopex) in one big bundle. PC owners will also have access to the Gold Cowabunga Edition, a special edition that also includes the digital art book and soundtrack of the game.
Alongside the release of the Gold Edition, Super Evil Megacorp also announced that a new, free update to the game was available. The new update adds some balancing adjustments, but the developer also teases that there are some “hidden secrets” that players can find.
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle: Splintered Fate is our love letter to a franchise that’s brought generations together through movies, animation, toys and videogames,” wrote Super Evil Megacorp in a new statement. “Everyone has a favorite hero in a half-shell, and if ‘Big Apple, 3 a.m.!’ instantly gives you that warm, nostalgic feeling… you know exactly what we mean.”
