Pokemon FireRed Player Manages to Defeat the Elite Four With a “Barely Functional” Team

A Pokemon FireRed player has managed to accomplish a particularly impressive feat, defeating the Elite 4 in the classic games with a team they describe as “barely functional.” The pair of remakes are often held as some of the most beloved games in the history of the long-running monster-catching franchise, marking the Pokemon franchise’s first return to the Kanto region. Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen sold more than 12 million copies on the Game Boy Advance and helped start the trend of Game Freak releasing remakes for each of the franchise’s older generations. Pokemon fans can now experience the classic Kanto adventures on new hardware.
