Whether it releases on November 19 or later, GTA VI will undoubtedly dominate the entire gaming industry. This will be particularly true for all the major players in the sector, who will avoid releasing their games too close to Rockstar Games’ title.
In a podcast, Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier said he thinks Marvel’s Wolverine will arrive in September or October 2026. He also suspects that “Sony is planning its entire calendar around GTA and will not release anything within the blast zone”. Furthermore, Schreier believes that “most of the sales will be on PlayStation and it will sell a lot of PlayStation 5s alongside it”.
So it makes sense that Sony would clear the way for the launch of the next Grand Theft Auto.
