PlayStation China Hero Title Loulan: The Cursed Sand Reveals Massive Sand Serpents in First Gameplay

ChillyRoom’s Loulan: The Cursed Sand, an action RPG set in ancient China across the legendary Silk Road, has received its first gameplay trailer. Announced in July 2024 as part of the PlayStation China Hero Project, it hasn’t had any major updates until now.

Set after the fall of the Loulan kingdom in Western China, the story sees an exiled guard, known as “The Cursed Sand,” as he struggles to reunite with the princess. It offers top-down hack-and-slash combat where you can seamlessly shift between skeletal form and sand form, unleashing different abilities (like transforming into a giant sand tornado) and combos against undead foes and monsters.

Even the movement options, like burrowing underground to escape damage, look sleek. Of course, you’ll also run into massive bosses, including a giant sand serpent. With a diverse range of regions, spanning caverns and ruined cities, it’s looking like quite the journey.

Loulan: The Cursed Sand doesn’t have a release date, but it’s coming to PS5 and PC, and is available to wishlist now.
