We’ve are now in the home stretch before the release of Crimson Desert. As a highly anticipated title, Pearl Abyss’s game is inevitably facing some controversy. Suffice it to say, the atmosphere on social media is pretty tense.
In fact, netizens are once again accusing the South Korean studio of failing to show the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. So far, only the PS5 Pro version has been given a lengthy showcase via the YouTube channel “Digital Foundry.” The channel has confirmed that it won’t be able to test Crimson Desert on the base consoles before its March 19 release.
As a result, players have cried foul, calling this a “red flag”. On X, Will Powers, who handles marketing at Pearl Abyss, responded to someone by stating that we should “let them talk”.
“Let them talk. We released specs on all platforms, and gameplay on three platforms. Let our video team rest.”
What is quite clear now is that everyone will be following closely how Crimson Desert performs on Sony and Microsoft’s consoles.
