Just a few hours before its launch on Thursday, March 19, the gaming press has released the reviews for Crimson Desert. While the action-adventure title fared fairly well overall, it fell short in certain areas.
So far, the Metacritic average currently stands at 78% and 80% on OpenCritic. These are very respectable scores, yes, but fall short of this year’s blockbusters like Pokémon Pokopia and Resident Evil Requiem.
This generally favorable reception had immediate consequences, however, as Pearl Abyss’s stock price plummeted 29.8% following the release of the reviews. It dropped to 46,000 won (€26.76), a decline of 19,500 won (€11.34) in just a few minutes.
