Earlier today, Pearl Abyss responded to criticism regarding the console version of Crimson Desert. An internet user accused the studio of hiding the graphics on PlayStation and Xbox by only showing the PC version.
Finally, an article on the PlayStation Blog, also published on Wednesday, discussed the PS5 version at length. This is an opportunity to learn what the South Korean developer has done to improve its open-world title on Sony’s console.
First of all, PS5 Pro optimization will be included. It will use the new version of PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) to offer 4K resolution, with ray tracing and high frame rates. In addition, the PS5 Pro’s High Frequency mode has been used to make movement through the world smoother.
On the standard PS5, Crimson Desert will use the SSD to offer fast loading times. The DualSense controller will make use of adaptive triggers when performing certain actions (such as shooting a bow).
Finally, the PlayStation Blog article contains several excerpts from the PS5 version of Crimson Desert.
