Kicking off the Luna New Year celebration, Singularity 6 launches Palia’s latest update, Winter’s Wonder: Riffrocin New Year, introducing the Lunar Path, decorations, and more.
Transitioning from the festive Winter’s Wonder: Snowbound Sanctuary update to celebrate the Luna New Year, Palia introduces a wide variety of exciting updates for players to anticipate during the launch of Winter’s Wonder: Riffcrocin New Year. The latest update features Lunar Path: Path of the Shred, Luna New Year Bundle, returning traditions, and many more. Alongside the gameplay features, the Premium Store has been updated with new collections for players to acquire.
Celebrating the Luna New Year once again, many familiar and exciting traditions return, with updated features to enhance various events. Highlighting the traditions, Maji Treasure Chests have returned and can be discovered in new locations throughout The Fairgrounds. Additionally, Zeki’s “A New Year to Remember” quest will not be refreshed this year; however, the Stamp Card Achievement will be refreshed for everyone to earn again as they partake in the Luna New Year celebration. Lastly, the Hot Pot game in the Fairgrounds will now reshuffle the discarded cards in the deck and end after 10 minutes if no one has three sets.
As Kenyatta works hard to prepare for the Luna New Year celebration, several residents have run into issues, including Zeki’s prize wheel being broken, Delalaia’s sweets being sabotaged, Hodar’i’s firework going off early, and Sugarfoot being scared to compete in the Year of the Riffroc pageant organized by Nai’o. Kicking off the Luna New Year Bundle quests, players must investigate the causes of the mishaps and replace their items to get the celebration back on track. After players complete the Luna New Year Bundle, they will be rewarded:
- Roli Voucher – Acquired from the Bulletin Board. Redeemable for a Roli at the Ranching Store and unlocks the ability to purchase more Roli at Level 2 Ranching.
For players to get in the celebration mood, the Luna New Year Fairground Booths will offer plenty of new collectible decorations and rewards. The new Luna New Year items that will be available are:

Alongside the many new decorations that will be available during Palia’s Winter’s Wonder: Riffrocin New Year, players can collect two new tints and nameplates in the spirit of Luna New Year. The tints and nameplates that will be available are:
- Year of the Riffroc Nameplate – Can be purchased at Zeki’s Lucky Catch. Requires completion of the Stamp Card Accomplishment “Get in my Belly! – III”

Introducing the third Lunar Path, the Path of the Shred features up to 14 skater-inspired free and premium rewards for players to earn by playing the games at their own pace without worrying about a time limit. Introduced in Patch 0.198, the Lunar Path offers a variety of rewards for players to collect at ease, whether they are completing the Path of Shred or swapping to complete the Path of Cardigan. The highlighted rewards that will be offered during the Path of the Shred are:

Expanding the Ranch animals, players can now recruit an armadillo-like animal named Roli, who loves digging and seeking out salt crystals. As a ranch animal, Roli can gift players salt for cooking meals or to sell to villagers. On top of the regular salts, Roli can also dig up Pink Salt, which is more valuable when it’s sold on its own or used to increase the selling prices of any dishes that require salt. Roli can be obtained through the Luna New Year Bundle, the Roli Starter Pack, or the Kilima Coin Store in the future.
Running from February 6 to 18, Palia will host a Reth Soup-erb Bowl to unite the community to cook as many soup dishes as they can to impress Palia’s famous chef, Reth. Whether solo or with friends, players must gather ingredients and work together as a community to whip up delicious soup to hit the milestone goals and unlock tiered rewards.
Alongside many new features and events, Palia’s Winter’s Wonder: Riffrocin New Year includes many improvements and adjustments to enhance the players’ experience. The improvements and adjustments that will be added to Palia during its latest update are:
- Water Tower – Turning a glitch into a permanent feature, players can gather the Water Tower and its recipe in the Player Ranch without needing to go out of bounds, but only once.
- Quick Chat Additions – Quick Chat receives new phrases.
- Underground Updates – The use of Fireworks and Honey Lures has been restricted in the Underground to preserve the atmosphere and performance.
- Login Location Upgrades – Logging out in a private space, such as the Air Temple or a villager’s house, now logs players back in at the entrance of that space.
- Piksii Blossom Bounce and Kilima Bloom Event Updates – Both events have been updated to make watering easier.
