Blizzard’s announcements last week have clearly done Overwatch 2 a world of good. The game, which will be renamed Overwatch on Tuesday, February 10, has seen a real resurgence over the last 24 hours.
In fact, Overwatch 2 peaked at 69,881 concurrent users on Steam. This is the best result since the 75,608 players who were connected at the same time when version 1.0 was released on August 10, 2023.
This is a success that Blizzard can build on as it rolls out the new season this week.
