OpenNOW: An Internet user recreates GeForce Now but without all the service’s flaws

A mysterious Internet user has pulled off quite a feat. He managed to recreate GeForce NOW from scratch, though without all the features that users had criticized.

This customized service, named OpenNOW is available as open-source and can be downloaded via GitHub. It does not include tracking or telemetry and features an anti-AFK option that prevents disconnections due to inactivity. The whole thing works perfectly on Linux and ARM.

Furthermore, this unofficial GeForce NOW can reach 5K resolution at 120 FPS, with the potential to go up to 240 FPS. The bitrate is adjustable (up to 200 Mbps), and full color control is available. Finally, a detailed stats overlay, session restoration, and region control are included.
