NVIDIA could restart production of the RTX 3060

In 2024, NVIDIA ended production of its RTX 3060, which had been released three years earlier. So far, it remains the most widely used graphics card among Steam gamers.

In a message posted by hongxing2020 on X, we learn that the American giant has announced to its partners that the RTX 3060 will make a comeback in the first quarter of 2026. We do not yet know whether this will apply to the 8GB and 12GB models. When it was launched, the 8 GB VRAM version was heavily criticized for its poor performance.

This decision was undoubtedly made to counteract DRAM shortages on current consumer GPUs. The RTX 5060, which uses GDDR7 memory, is expected to see another sharp price increase in the coming days.
