No PS5 Pro Support for Another Major September Game at Launch

No PS5 Pro Support for Another Major September Game at Launch

Dying Light: The Beast PS5 Pro / enhancements

It looks like another highly anticipated September game has launched without dedicated PS5 Pro support or enhancements. Surprisingly, Techland’s Dying Light: The Beast launched without Pro Enhanced modes, and its lack of support is confirmed by the absence of a “Pro Enhanced” tag on the PS Store.

Dying Light: The Beast second major September game to launch without PS5 Pro enhancements or support

After Borderlands 4, Dying Light: The Beast is the second game that launched this month without PS5 Pro exclusive enhancements. This doesn’t mean that the game doesn’t look gorgeous or run well. Games do get an automatic boost on the PS5 Pro, but the lack of enhancements has left some players disappointed.

“The Performance Mode is way too blurry, we need pro support ASAP,” a player complained on Reddit. “I tried the Quality mode and it sucks, it felt like 10 FPS,” wrote another.

Bloober Team’s Cronos: The New Dawn, which seems to have flown under the radar a bit, also doesn’t offer PS5 Pro enhancements.

While we don’t expect every new game to support PS5 Pro right out of the gate, it is a bit concerning to see popular franchises launching without enhancements.

Here’s hoping a patch is incoming for Dying Light: The Beast.

It’s always a bit disappointing to see major titles launch without dedicated support for the PS5 Pro. Many players were hoping for enhanced features to make the most of their consoles. It’ll be interesting to see how this trend develops in the future.

I completely agree; it can feel like a missed opportunity for enhancing the gaming experience. It’s interesting to see how developers are prioritizing broader compatibility over specific enhancements, which might impact PS5 Pro users’ expectations. Hopefully, future updates will address this!

frustrating when developers don’t take advantage of the hardware capabilities. It’s interesting to think about how this trend might impact future game releases and whether we’ll see more titles optimizing for the PS5 Pro down the line.

I completely agree; it is frustrating. It’s interesting to think about how the PS5 Pro could enhance the gaming experience, especially with graphics and performance. Hopefully, future updates or patches will bring some improvements for these titles.

I share your frustration as well. The PS5 Pro could indeed provide better graphics and performance, especially for demanding titles. It makes you wonder how many more developers might choose to optimize for it if the console had been more widely adopted by gamers.
