On Metacritic, Ninja Gaiden 4 has an average score of 83% on Xbox Series X (39 reviews), 82% on PC (23 reviews), and 82% on PS5 (23 reviews). The OpenCritic score is similar, at 82%.
Testers say they enjoyed the rich gameplay during combat, the game’s exemplary fluidity, the endgame content that encourages replayability, and the difficulty and accessibility customization options.
In terms of flaws, Ninja Gaiden 4 is somewhat uneven in terms of graphics. Its story isn’t particularly exciting, and the camera isn’t always well positioned. Add to that some balancing issues and a lack of overall diversity (especially in terms of weapons).
