While Apex itself is still showing no signs of adding the beloved game mode popularized by Halo and other classic FPS titles, the upcoming arena shooter Ascendant fully blends the visuals and gameplay of Apex Legends with Capture The Flag objectives and an additional unexpected twist. Ascendant has already passed through multiple rounds of beta testing, making adjustments along the way to resolve player concerns, and is presently slated to launch for PC via Steam in 2026.
