Night City is home to so many iconic locations including Kabuki Market, Jig-Jig Street, Pacifica, Afterlife, and many more.
With many of Night City’s interiors accessible for players, the futuristic metropolis feels alive and tactile and so it is no surprise that Cyberpunk 2077’s setting is considered one of the best in video game history.
However, with Cyberpunk 2077 being a single-player game, there are only so many times we can head to our favourite locations.
Luckily, whilst we wait for the magic of Cyberpunk 2 which is currently in development at CD Projekt RED, the game’s dedicated modding community has us covered.
That is definitely the case for Kaoziun and Oranje3 over on Nexus Mods who have created the Casino Reforged mod for Cyberpunk 2077.
This collaborative project will see multiple modders come together to restore the North Oak Casino in Night City.
Not only will this free download see V able to access the casino but it also includes several area fixes and improvements.
In game, the North Oak Casino & Country Club is a luxury hotel and casino in the hills of North Oak, in the Westbrook district of northeastern Night City.
Unfortunately, the area is closed for maintenance during the events of Cyberpunk 2077, meaning that players can only view the luxurious area from the outside.
Advertising an exclusive experience with services such as dining, golf courses, swimming pools, and more, the modding group for Casino Reforged aims to add all of that back in to peruse at will.
What the mod includes
The mod may still be in development but it is still available to download right now and currently includes the following features:
- Physical V’s access to the casino area through the tunnel that has been cleared, edited and extended
- World Builder edits and additions to the tunnel’s exit point, the surrounding area, and the casino building.
- Terrain, collider, and mesh editing by Oranje3 to provide smooth player access to the casino zone, including an entry point for the upcoming casino interior mod.
In the future, the modders aim to include further refinement of visuals and even NPC implementation around the exit tunnel and roundabout area.
Since its release on Nexus Mods just yesterday, Casino Reforged has already garnered almost 200 downloads.
So if you also choose to download this free Cyberpunk 2077 update, be prepared for much more content in the future and yet another excuse to return to the streets of Night City.
