Arguably, the hit series Narutohas the best-written and most thematic villains in that original shonen trio, and not just in terms of flashy jutsu or cool costumes. These antagonists have nuanced personal arcs with moral fuzziness, oddly sympathetic backstories, and most of all, meaningful themes to explore.
