Nacon confirms that Terminator Survivors will not come out this year

Nacon has confirmed that its game Terminator: Survivors, an open-world title based on the Terminator franchise, will not be released in 2025 after all, despite a previous delay already announced for this year; no new release date has yet been set.

The game will not come out in early access as originally planned, as the team wants to offer a complete and polished experience from the outset. What’s more, the multiplayer co-op has also been removed from the project to focus on the main single-player gameplay.

Creative Director Marco Ponte explained that these decisions are the result of several months of internal testing and player feedback, aimed at improving combat, exploration, and storytelling. The game takes place after the events of the first two films, in a post-apocalyptic world where humans must survive against Skynet’s machines. Nacon plans to hold closed playtests as the release date approaches to continue polishing the experience.

It’s always a bit disappointing to hear about delays, but it’s great to see Nacon being transparent about the release of Terminator: Survivors. Looking forward to seeing how they develop the game further!
