After a last-minute postponement caused by an earthquake off the coast of Japan, the Monster Hunter Showcase was finally broadcast on Thursday, December 11. Of course, Monster Hunter Wilds was one of the main attractions of the event.
Capcom detailed the title’s fourth major update. It will be available on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC on December 16, 2025. It will add a special quest in which four players must hunt the Gogmazios. Players will then be able to obtain Gogma Artian weapons and upgrade them. Level 100 hunters will also be able to further upgrade their armor using the transcendence feature. Added to this is an event quest featuring the arch-tempered monster Jin Dahaad.
Other permanent quests will arrive on December 24, and free challenge quests will be available for a limited time starting January 7, 2026. On the support hunter side, we’ll find Nadia armed with her light crossbow. There will also be Griffin, a two-handed swordsman from the Ferrum unit, and Nightmist, a light crossbow wielder from the Aurora unit. Side missions, seasonal events, and the paid Cosmetics 4 DLC are also on the agenda.
