To put it simply, Capcom is on fire right now! After releasing the excellent Resident Evil Requiem, the Japanese publisher is back two weeks later with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. This narrative RPG releases on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC on March 13, 2026.
Ahead of its launch, we take a look at the reviews from the specialist press. Monster Hunter Stories 3 currently has an average Metacritic score of 85% on PS5 (25 reviews), 82% on Switch 2 (9 reviews) and 83% on PC (6 reviews). The OpenCritic score is set at 85% (50 reviews).
Reviewers have praised the game’s fairly deep combat system, its superb art direction, its generous lifespan of over 100 hours to complete everything, and its more mature and interesting story. In addition, the monsters and characters encountered during the adventure are very varied.
As for its flaws, Monster Hunter Stories 3 is somewhat repetitive, the interface is not very user-friendly, and its level design is sometimes uneven depending on the biomes.
