Mojang and Merlin Entertainments have announced a major new project centered around Minecraft. The famous franchise will get its own theme park next year in the UK.
The destination is set to open in 2027 at Chessington World of Adventures, in Greater London. Named Minecraft World, this venue will feature the first roller coasters inspired by the video game, as well as the world’s largest Minecraft store. Interactive adventures and themed food will also be part of the experience.
Several concept art images have been shared. Angela Jobson, Merlin’s Vice President of Global Brand, shared a few words.

Working closely with Mojang Studios, we are meticulously creating an authentic world in which the global community of Minecraft fans will want to immerse themselves and experience the game in a whole new way.”
