Mario Tennis Review: the latest Switch 2 exclusive gets good marks

The first reviews from the gaming press are out for Mario Tennis Fever, the next Switch 2 exclusive, available February 12. This new entry features 38 playable characters and 30 rackets, each with their own unique abilities.

On Metacritic, Mario Tennis Fever currently has an average score of 77% based on 64 reviews. Its OpenCritic score is 75% based on 30 reviews.

Mario Tennis Fever offers fun gameplay that’s even more enjoyable in multiplayer. The game is well balanced and the graphics are flawless. The soundtrack is also very well done. There are notable new features in several modes, and the game has content in spades.

Sadly, the AI is quite basic, the adventure mode is over too soon, bosses are forgettable, and the game is sometimes too easy.
