Legends & Lattes author Travis Baldree says he’s learning to disappoint people

Baldree’s third novel in the series, Brigands & Breadknives, published on Nov. 11, initially seems like more of the same comforting fare. Fern decides she wants to change things up and moves to the same town as Viv, who enlists all her friends to help Fern open a new bookstore. But then Fern decides to leave her thriving business and comfortable life behind to go on a more traditional fantasy adventure, accompanying the legendary Elven warrior Astryx One-Ear cross-country as she transports her latest bounty, Zyll, a goblin with a huge price on her head.
