After October and the witching hour on Halloween, November will be more cat-tastic than usual. According to leaked information, Stray will be the featured game on PlayStation Plus’ Essential tier and above for November. The two other announced titles joining Stray will be available to claim for members of all three PS Plus tiers, starting November 4th.
The report came from a reliable leaker, Billbil-kun on Dealabs, noting that Annapurna Interactive’s Stray will be the main game coming to next month’s collection. Members from the Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers will be able to take advantage of this opportunity. Stray is a 2022 adventure game developed by BlueTwelve Studio and published by Annapurna Interactive. The story follows a stray cat who falls into a walled city populated by robots, machines, and mutant bacteria; the cat sets out to return to the surface with the help of a drone companion, B-12.
The game dropped in July 2022 for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. CGMagazine’s Zubi Khan noted in his 8.5/10 review, “Stray’s roughly 10-hour playtime feels well-bred and expertly put together…[with] equal parts a fun and unique twist on the Adventure game genre and a showcase of what to expect from BlueTwelve Studio in the future.”
If playing the game is too much of a commitment to the feline franchise, Annapurna Pictures’ animation arm (which produced DNEG Animation’s Nimona), is planning to make an animated adaptation for the fan-favourite cat-venture game. The game was applauded for its beautiful, chill vibes after multiple years filled with pandemic woes.
Stray went on to become the second-highest-rated game on Steam in 2022, ranking just behind Vampire Survivors. It was nominated for numerous awards and won several, including Best Debut at the Game Developers Choice Awards, and Best Independent Game and Best Debut Indie Game at The Game Awards 2022.
Players can still claim October 2025’s PlayStation Plus Essential games until Nov. 4. The lineup includes Alan Wake 2, Goat Simulator 3 and Cocoon—another Annapurna title.
