There is no denying that Night City is one of the most memorable settings in video game history.
Giving us a glimpse into the not-so-distant future, it is home to beauty just as much as corruption. Its neon-soaked streets are the setting for so many of Cyberpunk 2077’s most iconic moments and its people are diverse, whacky, and hypnotic.
There is no doubt that Night City will go down as one of the most iconic video game settings of all time. However, whilst we wait for CD Projekt RED to bring us the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, one creator has found a way to breathe even more life into Night City.
Ambient Factions of Night City is a brand-new mod for Cyberpunk 2077 and is available now for all PC gamers.

Created by Slim420, this mod adds ambient neutral gangs and other factions to the crowds of Night City in order to bring more realism to the futuristic setting.
“Ambient Factions Of Night City dynamically spawns faction groups throughout the city based on territorial control, creating organic encounters that make each neighborhood feel authentic and alive,” the official mod description reads.
The mod aims to breathe new life into Cyberpunk 2077 by populating districts with faction members who will exist alongside normal citizens just going about their daily life.
They will all be peaceful (unless you give them a reason not to be) and certain factions will hang around their chosen spots such as gang members being near their own territories and Corpo security usually spotted prowling the business districts.
However, if you attack them or their factions, you will face the consequences and they will remember.
Fully customisable
From members of the Tyger Claws to Gangers, to Arasaka guards and the Aldecaldos, all manner of brand-new NPCs can now be found around Night City and the metropolis is all the more lifelike for it.
Not only that but Ambient Factions of Night City can also kickstart gang wars if opposing factions spawn near the same spot.
With turf wars just a regular part of Night City, it is up to you if you get involved or not.
The modder has also added a way to adjust crowd settings if things are feeling a bit too much for you or not enough so this experience is wholly customisable.
So if you want a reason to get involved in turf wars or just want to see more diverse characters taking to the streets of Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City, then you will not want to miss out on this free mod available now.
