Krafton has appointed an AI director to increase its investments in this area

Last November, Krafton announced its new strategy focusing on the use of generative artificial intelligence. The South Korean company is already implementing this policy and has appointed a new executive to oversee it.

Kangwook Lee has become Director of AI after serving as Head of KRAFTON AI since 2022. He has worked on creating AI companions to promote real-time interaction between players. This process has been used in inZoi, for example, and will soon be used in PUBG.

As part of his new role, Lee will be responsible for implementing techniques to improve the gameplay of his company’s productions using AI. In addition, his goal will be to support development teams with AI tools and explore long-term research opportunities through the Ludo Robotics division.
