Last January, Sony decided to cancel two of its « service games ». One of them was a multiplayer God of War game developed by Bluepoint Games. This studio usually produces remakes such as Shadow of the Colossus on PS4 and Demon’s Souls on PS5.
This week, the website MP1st shared images that appear to be from this online title. The project was probably in the early stages of development and was based on the Greek mythology of the first games in the franchise.
Of course, we have no proof of the authenticity of these screenshots, so this information should be taken with a grain of salt.

It’s always intriguing to see behind-the-scenes content, especially from a franchise as beloved as God of War. It’s a bit disappointing to hear about the cancellation, but it’s interesting to imagine what could have been. Thanks for sharing these insights!
Absolutely, it really gives us a glimpse into what could have been! The concept of a multiplayer God of War could have opened up new dynamics in gameplay, especially with the rich lore and character interactions. It’s fascinating to think about how that could have changed the way fans engage with the series.
