How To Get The Rocket Launcher In Resident Evil Requiem

Are you keeping your fingers crossed that you can unlock the Rocket Launcher Resident Evil Requiem? This weapon has been a staple of the series, a powerful tool that can lay waste to any enemy. That said, it might take you a while to obtain in the game.

The Rocket Launcher as bonus content

You unlock the Resident Evil Requiem Rocket Launcher, also known as the RPG-7, via the Special Content/Bonus Content menu. The screen shows all the weapons–and cheats–that are available. That said, you need to amass enough challenge points (CP) by completing tasks and milestones throughout the campaign.

  • The Rocket Launcher itself costs a whopping 15,000 CP.
  • If you want to activate the infinite ammo cheat for it, you need to spend an additional 35,000 CP.

On your first playthrough, you might not have enough, especially if you’re unable to complete certain tallies. That said, there are a few methods that should help you finish objectives simultaneously, including those that reward 20,000 to 40,000 CP. We’ve got more tips for you in our challenges/bonus content guide. Also, while you’re undertaking these tasks, you might want to keep some backup saves at pivotal points of no return.

Where to find the Rocket Launcher as Leon?

Assuming you have at least 15,000 CP, you can unlock the RPG-7 via the menu. Then, when you play as Leon, go ahead and interact with a supply box. You’ll notice that the RPG-7 can be purchased for 8,000 credits.

Note that Leon earns credits whenever he kills enemies. Likewise, a fixed amount of credits are rewarded when you turn in Tracking Modules.

It also bears mentioning that the RPG-7 occupies an 8×8 space in Leon’s case. That means you have to sell some stuff that you don’t need and rearrange your inventory just so it could fit.

How to use the Rocket Launcher in-game?

Well, all you need to do is aim at a bad guy and fire the weapon, and your target will be blown to smithereens, right? Well, that’s true, since the Rocket Launcher instantly kills any hostile, including the game’s final boss. But there’s also an important caveat: The RPG-7 is akin to a one-time use item.

It’s like a fire-and-forget weapon: When you fire it, you can forget that it ever existed, because it will disappear from your inventory. You can’t buy a new one from the supply box, and you can’t find or craft ammo for it either.

But once you’ve unlocked and activated the aforementioned infinite ammo cheat for it, then that’s when the fun truly begins. Imagine seeing non-stop explosions throughout the campaign.

That does it for our guide on how to get the Rocket Launcher in Resident Evil Requiem. If you’re interested in knowing more about the other armaments and gear, you can head over to our weapons guide.
