Darwin’s Paradox is a surprisingly refreshing adventure game from Konami that looks quite promising. Developed by ZDT Studio, the game has us playing as an octopus trapped in an industrial complex, who is trying to find its way home.

Darwin’s Paradox demos features Easter Eggs from a beloved Konami franchise. You probably already guessed which one.

“Embark on a grand sea adventure worthy of a true animated movie with Darwin, an octopus as charming as he is clever, who is ripped from the ocean and trapped in a massive and mysterious industrial complex,” an official overview reads. “With his extraordinary intelligence and incredible abilities, help him overcome the most formidable traps and dangers in this captivating puzzle-platforming adventure.”

Mina the Hollower is an upcoming adventure game by Yacht Club Games of Shovel Knight fame. As Mina, players have to rescue a cursed island, battling hazards and monsters along the way.

The free demo includes the first stage, including the first boss fight. But after completing the demo, players can check out Mina the Hollower’s world, its characters, and much more.

Darwin’s Paradox will release on April 2. Mina the Hollower doesn’t have a specific release date yet.
