Grey State Studio, a subsidiary of tech giant Tencent, revealed Rules of Engagement: The Grey State this week. This new game is set to be released on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store at an unknown date.
Rules of Engagement: The Grey State is presented as a tactical shooter with RPG elements. We will play as an elite agent whose objective is to recover priceless artefacts. To do so, we will have to dive into an unstable dimension full of monsters. A preparation phase will be necessary in order to be fully equipped for the final confrontation.
We will then have two choices for extracting ourselves from this place. We can choose a safe extraction point that will guarantee a profit, or decide to take risks by searching for an artefact called Vertex to obtain even more riches. But to leave, we will have to fight for our place on board a helicopter.
During the upcoming alpha test, there will be three classes available. The Sledge (an unstoppable colossus), the Pyro (who uses fire and smoke to his advantage) and the Phantom (a stealthy assassin). Finally, despite its free-to-play model, Rules of Engagement: The Grey State will not be a ‘pay-to-win’ game and promises a fair experience for every player.
