Always well-informed when it comes to Halo, Rebs Gaming has shared some worrying news about the studio responsible for the franchise. It seems Halo Studios is facing significant leadership issues.
In his video, the YouTuber mentions plenty of departures and a relatively toxic atmosphere within the company. He mentions Glenn Israel, artistic director for over 10 years at Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries), who left the company with a disturbing message. Israel refuses to “sacrifice his dignity, ethics, or values” and says he is prepared to gather evidence “if necessary”. He cannot say more until next year.
In addition to leadership issues (the nature of which Rebs Gaming cannot discuss at this time), something “bad” may be brewing at Halo Studios. For example, of the nine people credited on the Halo Infinite art team, only one is said to still be there.
We will have to wait and see whether or not this situation will have any real impact on the development of future Halo-related projects.
