Halo: Campaign Evolved is reportedly being developed largely by another studio

Typically, Halo Studios (formerly known as 343 Industries) handles the development of the various installments in the series. However, for Halo: Campaign Evolved, which is set to release this year, things are reportedly a bit different.

According to insider Rebs Gaming, the bulk of the production is reportedly being handled by Abstraction. This is a studio specializing in co-development that has contributed to several major titles such as Baldur’s Gate 3, Mass Effect, Dune: Awakening, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Now, Abstraction is reportedly taking on a more significant role in Halo: Campaign Evolved. The developer is said to have handled scripted events, preliminary mission design, combat system adjustments, adapting gameplay to new mechanics, and polishing and finalizing mission content.

In conclusion, we can assume that the studio is handling virtually all the key tasks, which would allow Halo Studios to focus its efforts on the next installment in the franchise rather than on this remake of the first game.
