Grand Theft Auto players have been pleasantly surprised by a new trailer revealing a new fan collaboration with Rockstar Games.
Anyone who plays GTA V on PC will no doubt know one of the biggest in-game communities is roleplaying, with dedicated servers for those who want to truly live in Los Santos as everyday people.
It’s not exactly my cup of tea, but it is a popular activity – and from what I’ve seen, Red Dead Online has essentially become one big roleplaying game, at least on PC anyway.
Now fans are buzzing over a brand-new trailer from nopixel, announcing ‘nopixel V’.
Nopixel is a community-developed roleplaying server that’s separate from GTA Online, but is still connected to the game.
It adds custom-features to the game like greater customisation of your character, even giving you control over your character’s backstory, plus it also restricts certain elements of the game that might not be appropriate for a roleplaying setting.
This includes certain weapons and vehicles, or anything deemed not realistic, which includes a lot of things Rockstar Games has added to GTA V over the years.
The mode is also supported by a variety of content creators and streamers, many of whom have partnerships with nopixel.
Now, nopixel is launching nopixel V, which is described as “the next evolution of the GTA V Roleplay experience,” and Rockstar Games is one of its official collaborators.
Fans were incredibly hyped for the announcement, with many praising Rockstar Games for getting involved with its community.

Like I said before, it’s not my cup of tea but I’m glad people are getting excited for it. It does also have me wondering what GTA VI’s online mode will be like.
So far, nothing has been said about GTA VI: Online, and it’s widely believed it’ll launch sometime after the game’s release like GTA V’s.
I can’t imagine anything will be transferable from the GTA V version, but there might be some kind of bonus for those who are using the same account, whether it be a special vehicle or a chunk of in-game cash to get started with.
