The Showa-Era collection includes the first Godzilla movie on Blu-ray, but if you want to watch it in 4K UHD resolution, Godzilla (1954) is available on 4K Blu-ray for $25 (was $50). Criterion released the standalone edition last holiday season. The Criterion Collection also features a 1989 Godzilla movie that isn’t part of the Showa Era. Shin Godzilla released on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray on October 28. Chronologically, it’s the first film in Godzilla’s Reiwa era.
