Like its competitors, Google is investing heavily in generative artificial intelligence. The American company has therefore stepped up its initiatives in this area and now offers a new tool with a wealth of possibilities.
With Project Genie, users can create virtual worlds based on instructions and downloaded images. A character can then be modeled and used to explore these worlds. The world is generated in real time based on the player’s actions and camera movements.
This promising tool is currently available as a prototype. At present, there are several limitations, including exploration limited to 60 seconds per world and modeling that is not always realistic. Project Genie is also not yet fully capable of following the exact instructions given by the user.
To enjoy Project Genie, you need a Google AI Ultra subscription at €274.99/month.
