Fortnite Map Leaks, We’re off to Springfield With Homer Simpson

Fortnite is just a few days away from its next season, which will feature an enormous collaboration with The Simpsons.

The new collaboration will not just feature skins from the beloved TV series, it’ll also transform the Fortnite island into a miniature Springfield, which is arguably the closest we’re getting to The Simpsons: Hit & Run remastered…

Judging from the latest map leaks it looks like a variety of iconic Simpsons locations are going to be ported into the game, including the nuclear power plant Homer Simpson works at, in addition to the home of The Simpsons, Evergreen Terrace. Something interesting to note is this map looks a lot smaller than previous seasons.

Pairing nicely with the new look there’ll also be some Simpsons-related items to find, with my bet being a consumable donut that gives you back health and shields.

The aliens Kang and Kodos have also been teased as part of the collaboration so perhaps their inclusion will come in the form of a boss fight, with one of them dropping an alien blaster as a legendary weapon.

Like previous Fortnite seasons the changes will reportedly come into effect through a live-event, which for those who don’t know is sort of like a playable cutscene. Players get to watch in real-time as the game changes and the story plays out.

We don’t have a full list of confirmed skins yet but from the images released by Epic Games we’re definitely getting Homer, Marge, Bart in a mech-suit, Ned Flanders and some Simpson-ified Fortnite characters like Peely. Most of these will likely be part of the battle-pass whereas others will probably be purchasable from the Item Shop.

Seeing Bart in a mech-suit has me convinced we’re never getting a Sonic The Hedgehog skin, as Epic Games clearly struggles scaling up smaller characters for the game…

Don’t Forget Your Current Battle-Pass!

With the new Simpson collaboration on the way it means you haven’t got long to finish your current battle-pass.

The current season of Fortnite has mostly been about Power Rangers, with final battle-pass rewards being the iconic Green Ranger and his White Ranger alternative skin.

If you haven’t hit level 100 yet you’ve only got a few days left to do it, so jump on and get some challenges done so you’re not missing out on the rewards.

The next season of Fortnite comes into effect on 1 November, and looks like one of the coolest collaborations we’ve had in a while.
