In Fortnite‘s next season a Kill Bill short, The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge, will feature as part of the game’s next season themed after the two Kill Bill films.

Over 20 years after Kill Bill: Vol 2 was released in theatres, fans will finally be able to see a previously unfilmed short that expands the universe of the films, but likely not the way fans expected. While there is a planned theatrical re-release of both Kill Bill films called The Whole Bloody Affair, the new short titled The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge will premiere in Fortnite instead. The news broke from the Kill Bill director himself, Quentin Tarantino, alongside actress Uma Thurman (who plays Beatrix Kiddo in the films) at the Fortnite event in Hollywood, California, on Wednesday. The official announcement can be seen below, courtesy of X (formerly known as Twitter).

The new Taratino-ified season will kick things off on November 30, and at that time, The Simpsons-themed season will be replaced. What is the short film supposed to be? It’s explained by Fandomwire as a short story focused on Gogo Yubari’s sister, Yuki, who goes after Beatrix Kiddo. The supposed story materials were never shot or used, and for 22 years, lived as passing mentions in Tarantino interviews. Now it’s finally coming to fruition, and not as a film, but as a scene in a live-service video game with a battle pass that includes multiple versions of John Cena, and Marvel’s Galactus. Anything is possible in Fortnite.

Fortnite Chapter 7 is set to launch on November 30, after the current The Simpsons mini-season (based in Springfield) ends. Chapter 6 started in December 2024, and hosted four separate Seasons and two Mini-Seasons based on Star Wars and The Simpsons. By the time Chapter 6 ends, it will have run one day shy of a year.
