During today’s Nintendo Partner Direct, Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second installment in the FF7 Remake trilogy, will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on June 3. Soon after, the company released a standalone trailer for the Switch 2 edition with a nifty little bonus: Physical editions of the game will include a Magic: The Gathering promo card featuring artwork from Tetsuya Nomura himself.
The promo card is a reprint of Zack Fair’s legendary creature card from Magic’s Final Fantasy expansion, which released last summer. The promo version, however, will feature the same artwork of Zack that appears on the cover of the Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth Material Ultimania encyclopedia. The promo pack-in follows a similar inclusion within physical copies of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, where Final Fantasy booster packs were included in the game case.

The Final Fantasy expansion for Magic: The Gathering launched on June 13, and it quickly became Magic’s best-selling expansion of all time–reaching the milestone in a single day. The set featured characters, locations, and scenes from all 16 mainline Final Fantasy games in booster packs, preconstructed decks, and more.
