Todd Howard has been modded into Fallout 4, and I can only say sorry.
Listen, I have nothing against Todd Howard. In fact, I’ve met the man and he’s a very pleasant chap, but this mod is a frightening abomination.
It was put together by Twitter/X user Blurbstv who wrote a very ominous accompanying statement.
“I modded Todd Howard into Fallout 4,” he began. “Do NOT let him touch you.”
EXCUSE ME? Bro, Todd. What are you up to?
The accompanying video displays exactly what the mod looks like in practice. It’s not an in-engine creation of Todd Howard; we’re talking a full-body real life floating cardboard cutout that appears to haunt the player.
Where and why will the Todd appear? I can’t seem to glean any rhyme or reason there.
Todd appears to surface in every single scene. He may be situated next to the player, or he might be quietly lurking in the background.
Elsewhere, he’s strolling along the street or floating in the sky. Think of this mod as a built-in Todd Howard jump scare.
As for why he can’t touch you, it’s less disturbing than it sounds. Well, I suppose that’s all dependent on where your mind previously drifted to.
By all accounts, it looks as if contact with the Todd Howard cutout kills the player which explains why you’ll want to keep your distance.
I don’t get the impression that you can defeat him as Blurbstv’s bullets have no effect on the incoming figure.
The Funniest Mod I’ve Seen In a Long Time
I highly suggest you watch the minute-long snippet of this mod in action in the tweet below because it’s genuinely hilarious.

Watching Blurbstv get stuck in a dialogue encounter while a deadly Todd Howard slowly inches closer, soundtracked by screams of “NO NO NO” is comedy gold.
There’s a much longer 17-minute video on Blurbs’ YouTube channel if this kind of content gets your endorphins flowing.
The cardboard cutout mod was originally made by NexusMods user dpillari but it appears Blurbs made it so that Todd hunts you down. From what I can see, that latter version isn’t yet available to try yourself.
“The Todd cutout might be your best. The genuine horror and paranoia it creates is just the best,” wrote one YouTube viewer.
“All of this just works,” added another.
“That Todd Howard is absolutely terrifying, especially in the talking cutscenes,” read one comment.
Ah, this has really brightened my day. May the pure terror of cardboard Todd Howard also do the same to yours.
