In a four-page interview with Famitsu magazine, Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo discussed the future of the Trails franchise.
During the interview, Kondo stated that the last game in the series will be announced for the company’s 50th anniversary in 2031. Falcom hopes to release the title the following year, in 2032. What’s more, the plot for The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon II has already been written.
We also learned that development of a new Ys game has begun.
