Publisher Nihon Falcom is gearing up for a busy year. The Japanese company behind the Ys and The Legend of Heroes franchises is set to release two separate games in the coming months.
While Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter has already been announced, a second title will be officially revealed in February. Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo confirmed the news at the 2026 Taipei Game Show.
“Regarding 2026, as mentioned in the question, we have already decided to release two new titles. We haven’t done this in several decades. We are quite confident about the progress of development and are currently at a stage where this goal seems entirely achievable.
As for the second title, in addition to Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, we are planning a major announcement next month [February]. We intend to make a big reveal.
This year also marks Falcom’s 45th anniversary, and we hope to generate excitement around this event by announcing new developments at a faster pace. We thank you for your patience and invite you to stay tuned for future updates.”
