EVE Vanguard: Operation Nemesis Is Now Live, Finally Establishing A Link To EVE Online

CCP Games uncorked their next event, EVE Vanguard: Operation Nemesis, and all fans can jump right into the free-to-play event action today.

EVE Vanguard serves as CCP Games’ in-development multiplayer sci-fi shooter set in the EVE Universe, and as such, continues to update and release new events to keep EVE fans engaged for the long haul. Today, EVE Vanguard: Operation Nemesis has gone live, and this free, limited-time event introduces a narrative-driven ‘New Player Journey,’ expands the battlefield with a new map complete with formidable new enemies, and arms Warclones with an expanded arsenal. The free update also serves as the next step for Vanguard to launch its scheduled early access period in Summer 2026.

Operation Nemesis is the first time that Vanguard crosses over with the MMO sensation, EVE Online, combining the missions of both titles. Warclones on the ground and Capsuleers in the cosmos now influence the same conflict: Vanguard squads uncover intel that enables Capsuleers to reveal and raid Upwell convoys in space, linking the two titles and their focus on New Eden. This connection unites ground combat of EVE Vanguard with interstellar warfare, giving players a way to shape the fate of New Eden together.

Executive Producer at CCP Games, Snorri Árnason, said, “With the foundations in place, we’re now fusing new systems into the framework as we set the stage for Early Access. EVE Vanguard is growing with every milestone, and players are starting to see the boundless potential of the ultimate sci-fi experience we’re building: one universe, one war, fought across space and planets,” on how Vanguard plans to expand the overarching campaign on EVE Online.

While EVE Online Capsuleers operate from space and support the war effort of New Eden from there, Vanguard Warclones (who are basically immortal mercenary soldiers whose consciousness can be infinitely reincarnated into suits of war) dive into high-stakes combat across hostile planets from a boots-on-the-ground approach in EVE Vanguard. Operation Nemesis is the clearest link between the two games, with EVE Vanguard emerging as a title that focuses on the smaller picture, where every deployment tells a story in a player-driven universe at war, where every Warclone can make a mark on the effort.
