A feature that has been available on Steam for a long time has found its way to the Epic Games Store. Players can now purchase and send games to their friends.
By paying using Epic’s payment system, it is even possible to earn Epic Rewards, which can then be used to purchase gifts. Now, just below the buy button on a game’s page, there is a gift one. You then choose a user from your Epic friends list, decide whether or not to schedule delivery for a specific date, and finalize the purchase.
Recipients will have 14 days to accept the gift. If the person already owns the game in question, it cannot be added to the recipient’s library and a refund will be issued. This will also be the case if the gift is declined.
Paid games, special editions, expansions, and packs are all eligible to be given as gifts.
