Before the 2nd anniversary of the Early Access launch, the Enshrouded developers at Keen Games have revealed the 1.0 launch release window alongside a new roadmap.
Enshrouded has almost made it two years into Early Access, and the developers at Keen Games have put fans on notice: there’s a light at the end of the tunnel for the 1.0 release. In a press release today, Keen Games has announced the 1.0 launch release window as Autumn 2026. While this is far from a concrete release date (concrete release dates lead to delays, looking at GTA 6), plans for game release are not as solid as they seem, especially with Enshrouded‘s long run in Early Access.
To prepare fans for the upcoming Autumn 2026 release, the developers have shared a wealth of new information about a final major content update for the Early Access build. New features will be released, like Adventure Sharing and a plethora of quality improvements (full details to be revealed later). Keen Games has also provided a roadmap, which can be seen below. Fans should note the team has shared the first look at the evolving roadmap guiding Enshrouded’s Early Access into the full release, but like the release window, this roadmap is also subject to change.
But First, Enshrouded Update 0.8 Launches!

Following the release window announcement, Keen Games has detailed update 0.8. While a smaller patch-based update is set to launch tomorrow, January 22, update 0.8 will add the highly anticipated adventure-sharing feature fans have been clamouring for. Keen Games has listed all of the changes coming to the game in tomorrow’s patch, including:
- Combat tweaks continue, modifying damage number visibility, blocking and parry animations/telegraphy, projectile spells/attack improvements in accuracy, and their related displays.
- A new vanity armour set is available. Fans can obtain it by talking to the Huntress
- Randomly exploding barrels placed will explode less randomly.
- Fixed bugs for general performance.
Before Enshrouded exits Early Access, fans are still invited to submit feedback via the Feature Upvote tool, Steam reviews, and social media comments/posts, as support is planned through 1.0 and beyond. More information on tomorrow’s patch will be listed on Steam as the patch goes live.
