Embracer confirms the failure of Killing Floor 3 and three other games

Embracer Group has published its results for the quarter from July 1 to September 30, 2025. Net sales for new releases reached SEK 238 million, or approximately โ‚ฌ23.7 million, a year-on-year decline of 11%.

In its financial statement, the group revealed that Killing Floor 3 did not meet its commercial expectations. Tripwire Interactive is continuing its work with updates and a strong commitment to the community. However, Embracer says it will constantly reevaluate the game’s performance. If it fails to attract more players, we can imagine that it will be closed.

In addition, three other games failed to meet the company’s targets. Frosthaven, Echoes of the End, and Metal Eden all performed “poorly” during the past quarter.

I completely agree; setbacks can be really disappointing for fans and developers alike. Itโ€™s interesting to note how these challenges can sometimes lead to a reevaluation of future projects, potentially resulting in even better experiences down the line.
