Elden Ring: Nightreign’s new DLC, The Forsaken Hollow, launches today and while I’m sure we’re all excited to jump in and fight the news bosses be warned, there are gooners ahead.
The new expansion adds quite a bit of new content to the game. There’s a new area to explore, two new playable characters and two new bosses to go with them, one of which is a returning legend from Dark Souls.
Joining the Nightreign roster are the Nightfarers Scholar and Undertaker, both of which bring unique abilities to the game that’ll hopefully open up bold new possibilities for your team synergy.
The Scholar can provide a series of buffs to themselves as well as allies. There are three levels to this with the first two decreasing incoming damage from enemies and the third dealing more damage to the next enemy you hit.

Now the Undertaker is a little different as her ability raises stats, making her both a powerful character and an even more powerful ally as her ultimate move can be chained off your teammate’s ultimate.
On the topic of the Undertaker players have been commenting on her…strange… behaviour back at the Roundtable Hold.
You might have seen already but there are a few videos floating around online of the Undertaker in a promiscuous pose licking a glowing substance off a wall.
I’m sure there’s a lore reason as to why she’s doing this but for those who haven’t already studied up it looks awfully weird
Unsurprisingly though it’s been a hit with players, who’ve essentially been outing themselves as gooners by capturing recordings of the Undertaker’s peculiar hobby. I’m kidding of course… mostly.
Both of these characters can be unlocked very into the game if you’re a new player. All you need to do is beat the Tricephalos boss fight which is the first one you’ll encounter.
Return Of A Legend
Don’t get me wrong I’m excited for the new characters, especially because the Undertaker scales with Strength and Faith which is absolutely my jam when it comes to Elden Ring builds.
That said, I’m far more excited about the new bosses the Forsaken Hollow expansion adds to the game.
Artorias of the Abyss has made his triumphant return from the first Dark Souls game and while I haven’t fought him yet I’m counting down the hours until I do. He and I have a long-standing feud and it’ll be nice to face him on new turf.
Elden Ring: Nightreign’s new DLC expansion, the Forsaken Hollow, is out now for all platforms.
