
We may have forgotten, but Elden Ring Tarnished Edition was supposed to be released on Switch 2 last year. FromSoftware ultimately postponed this version due to an unstable frame rate that negatively affected the gaming experience.
Playable at GDC 2026 this week, the Switch 2 port of Elden Ring has been greatly improved by the developers. The website Polygon reports that the demo was much more stable than the one presented last summer. The frame rate reportedly fluctuates between 30 and 40 FPS, with performance similar to that of the Steam Deck. However, some loss of fluidity was observed when it rained in the open world.
