Between a brand new 3D doll-like style, story improvements, and various quality of life improvements, longtime fans can expect a new ending.
Speaking to Game Informer, producer Takeshi Ichikawa said that the narrative would still follow “the original story.” However, “depending on some of the […] player choices, players will get to see a new conclusion that’s never been seen before in previous iterations.”
Thus, if you’re someone who’s experienced the highs and lows of the Hero and his allies (either in the original or the 2016 3DS remake), Ichikawa promises a “fresh narrative experience.” The real question, as always, however, is what can fans expect from the new ending?
